UTAH CBI SECURITY ORIGINS

The origins of CBI Security go all the way back to April of 1994 when we started out as Confidential Background Investigations. At the time, our company’s sole service was providing background services for hiring businesses in Salt Lake City, as well as other Utah areas. Our business quickly grew, and in August of 1995, we teamed up with the city of Salt Lake City to establish a full-service operation in the Salt Lake City and County building, in the heart of downtown. A few years later, this grew into a patrol service for properties of the Salt Lake City Parks and Recreation Department.

Today, CBI Security has the largest patrol service in Utah and is one of the largest security firms throughout the state. Our priority will always be in continuing to make Utah a safe place to live and work. Every CBI Security officer in the state attends Utah’s CBI Training Academy. Here, we’re able to ensure that significant training is had, and any specific officer requirements set by the state are met. 

Although we began from humble beginnings, our operations continue to grow across the country. This is reflected in the 5 different locations in which we provide a physical security service for Salt Lake City, in addition to the service we provide for the City and County building downtown.
