Protecting Your VIP: The Ins and Outs of Executive Security

A protection team is only as good as its ability to keep people safe. That safety might manifest in different ways — whether patrolling the grounds of a building at night or providing evaluations of a company’s current security setup — but each type of service that a detail like CBI offers can have wider ramifications on a person’s health or livelihood.

Much has been said about what qualifies a person to join a security services team; ex-military, former police, the college-educated…all come out to apply for positions with CBI Security in order to bring their experience to bear in serving their fellow man. But there is perhaps no better sector of protection where these qualities are on display than in private security.

Elite Protection for the Elites

When one thinks of corporate security, the image is usually conjured of a patrolling guard in the halls of an office building, making sure the servers haven’t been tampered with or the offices are intact. They protect all the essential property of the company at night, and during the day they make sure that only properly credentialed individuals can freely come and go on the premises.

Private security isn’t much different, especially for executive or VIP clients who themselves are the “essential property” of the corporation. Ensuring the protection of VIP personnel, whether that be a celebrity, a C-level executive, or a world leader, demands that the highest level of professionalism be carried out at all times, and the team at CBI is up to the task.

All-encompassing Security Services

One might wonder why VIP security officers need to be so disciplined or have so much experience. Isn’t it enough to have gone through the training and be licensed to carry a gun? Doesn’t the mere presence of guards dissuade people from trying something illegal? In terms of the latter, that may be the case, but at CBI we leave nothing to chance. Our private security personnel need to have as broad a range of skills as possible in order to subdue threats of all kinds.

As such, executive security might come in many different forms and they might change as needed to accommodate the VIP’s schedule or engagements. These services include:

  • Personal bodyguards
  • Motorcade escort
  • Crowd Control
  • Threat assessment
  • Counter surveillance
  • And many more…

Ultimately, we at CBI Security demand so much from our officers because life does not consist of a single event. If the asset needs to travel from the airport to their home, we must provide protection on the road; if they have a business meeting at the office, we need to oversee building security; if they are speaking publicly in an open venue, we need to know how to identify and contain hostile elements.

Who is “VI-enough” for Private Security?

What happens if you feel you need personal protection but you aren’t a world leader or a celebrity? That’s perfectly fine — we can utilize those same skills to ensure your safety, too. Perhaps you feel unsafe due to threats from an angry ex, or you’ve been the target of hostility on social media. Our team can give a competent assessment of any threats and guard against them so that you feel safe.

If you have any questions about our security services, feel free to contact us. We have a presence all throughout the midwest and have the training and experience to protect anyone.
